Before writing anything about social evils, let’s about what is social evil actually? At first let’s take a reference from “quora”:
Social evils are actions committed by a large group within society that is controversial or in conflict with the morality shared within a society such as the drug trade, human trafficking and corruption of government officials.
So, in general social evil is something that could be considered as “harmful” or “dangerous” for the society. We should also consider some examples to make it more clear.
So the first thing which we get in our mind while thinking about the issue is nothing but “CRIME”. We can say that crime is some that is happening from the age of evolution of mankind and will perhaps keep happening forever. But we will discuss something called “Organised Crime” or “Pre-Planned Crime”.
But what makes it more evil than other? It can be explained as it is harmful in many ways. At once we can say that a crime and violence go hand-in-hand, which is a direct threat to society. Many other types organised crime may take non-violent approach but can still cause a serious effect to individuals and groups. For eg. a fraud done by an insurance company can cause a big financial crisis to individuals and money depositors.
As from the above we can say that social evil can happen in many scenarios ranging from physical harm to financial, social and even psychological harm.
In my recent post we will be discussing about all the social evils which prevails in our country as well as in the whole world. Keep Reading.
